Better late than never, I’m happy to report another student reaching that important milestone of their first solo flight.

Karim has been learning with Ivan as his instructor and I’m happy to be able to report that he flew his first solo circuit at about the twenty hour mark and on his sixteenth lesson. Looking at the video of his circuit there was a bit of a balloon on the landing but he had been properly trained to apply a short burst of throttle to cushion the touchdown. Well done to both Karim and to Ivan.
